The Cottage Camp Lodge is found in a small river called Acajatuba a branch from Rio Negro, 50 km from Manaus. It has five chalets, all with private bathrooms and air conditioning. it is simple, it is located in small community “ ST.Thomé” , good hospitality and services. It is special for individuals, small group of friends and families, who want to have a great experience with all good activities. There is electricity, with 110 volts. There is an open restaurant.

The Cottage Camp Lodge

Day 01:

Leave your hotel at 7.00 am, go to see the meeting of the two rivers, back to the car, continue travelling about 1 hour, cross over the Rio Negro bridge to a place called Ubim. There you will get into a motorized canoe, going to the Cottage Camp Lodge, arriving there you will receive a welcome drink made from natural fruits.

Lunch.

At 15.00 pm, you and your guide will go to explore the flooded woodlands in a motorized canoe and see some animals and birds, Sloths and Monkeys, (also you may have luck to feed the Monkeys in the nature). When it gets dark, your guide will use a flash light to spot the Caimans, he will capture one, then let it back to nature. Back to Cottage Camp Lodge, dinner.

Day 02:

Wake-up call at 05.15 am, leave at 05.30 for morning tour, from the front of the Community, by chance you may see a good sunrise.

Back for breakfast at 07.00 am.

After breakfast, you will get ready for your Jungle walk, your guides will explain how to dress and what to take with you, in the Jungle you will learn how to survive, how to use the medicine plants and how to make souvenirs from palm leaves.

Lunch.

At 15.00 pm, you will leave Cottage Camp for piranha fishing. See the sunset and back to lodge, have dinner. Overnight

Day 03: Breakfast at 7.00 am, at 08.00 am, you will leave the Cottage Camp, going to visit the native family, then continue to swim with the pink river Dolphins. Back to the lodge.

Day 02: Wake-up call at 05.15 am, leave at 05.30 for morning tour, by chance you may see a good sunrise.Back for breakfast at 07.00 am. At 09.00 am, you will leave for your one day and one night expedition into the Jungle, taking with you some food, mineral water,raincoat, good shoes, mosquito repellent, long sleeve shirt, flashlight, sheet for covering or sleeping bag,  Before entering into the Jungle, your guide and a native Jungle guide, will give you some instruction. In this expedition, you will learn how to make fire and to prepare your Lunch and Dinner. Specially to make up your camp, because with out a camp , you will not be able to sleep in the night. During the night before going to sleep, your guide will tell some stories and legends about the Amazon forest  and animals.

Day 03:

Breakfast at 07.00 am. At 08.00 am, you will go to visit small native family, to see how the prepare cassava roots to flour and make Tapioca for you. Back to the Cottage Camp.

Lunch.

15.00 pm. You and your guides will go again into the Jungle to spend the night. In the evening, you will learn how to make fire and prepare food dinner (THIS OPTION IS FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO HAVE EXPERIENCE SLEEPING IN HAMMOCKS).

Day 04: At 06.30 am, you will leave your camp, going back to lodge for breakfast. 08.30 am, you will leave the Cottage Camp, going to a place, where you will swim with the pink river Dolphins. Lunch. Leave the Cottage Camp at 14.00 pm, going back to the place, take the car or Van back to Manaus, direct to hotel or airport.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner, mineral water, fruits and guided excursions with experienced multilingual guide. Not included: Alcoholic beverages.
Swimming cloth, long pants, long sleeve shirt, flashlight, raincoat, sun protector, mosquito repellent, hat, good walking shoes, binocular.
