The Pousada 4 days 3 nights
The Pousada is found on a small river called Rio Preto da Eva, 104 km from Manaus, in the small community “São Jose. The Pousada offers 06 chalets, with single and double beds, all with private bathrooms and air conditioning. It’s a simple place, good hospitality, and services. It is special for individuals and family, who want to have a great experience with all the good activities. There is electricity, with 110 volts. There is an open restaurant.
Day 01: Pick up from the Hotel at 07:00 am. Departure on the Amazon River were we will go to see the famous “Meeting of the Rivers” were Rio Negro meets with Rio Solimões and form the great Amazon River. After that we continue traveling for about one hour to a small town in the Rio Preto da Eva archipelago, with about 35,000 inhabitants. Upon arrival we will explore the typical market in the village and experience some of all the Amazon products bought and sold here. After the market visit, we will board a small aluminum boat that takes us along the creeks with spectacular views of the rain forest. The boat ride takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes before arriving at to the Pousada. After arrival we will be served lunch.
At 3:00 pm, Our guide is going to take us to visit a native house, to see their way of life local fruit and vegetable plantations. On our return we will see some of the local fauna. We have dinner at the Pousada evening free.
Day 02: Early wake up at 5:15 am and departure at 5:30 am for a morning tour; this is an excellent opportunity to experience the Amazon wildlife and if weather permits a beautiful sunrise. Return for breakfast at 7 am. After breakfast you will get ready for your jungle tour. Your guides will explain how to dress and what to bring with you. In the wild, the guides will show you survival techniques and how to use medicinal plants and even how to make art from palm leaves. We return for lunch at the Pousada.
At 2:00 pm, we leave the Pousada, in the motorized canoes to experience more of the surrounding area and get familiar with the famous Amazon Piranhas. At 6:30 pm, when it gets dark, we will again leave the Pousada with our guide and go for caiman spotting. During this tour we will see some of the nocturnal wildlife and get information about Caimans and other local fauna. We return to the Pousada where dinner will be served.
Day 03: We leave the Pousada around 08.00 am, with our guides for a jungle trek to see a waterfall. Underway our guides will explain about the area. We return to the Pousada for lunch.
At 2 pm we departure from the Pousada going into the jungle to spend the night. We are going to overnight in hammocks and prepare our own dinner in the jungle. (This tour is optional)
Day 04: We leave the overnight camp after breakfast and return to the Pousada and on the way the guides will also show how to climb trees with rope made from palm leaves. Return and lunch at the Pousada. Lunch.
At 1:00 pm, we departure from the Pousada and return to Manaus around 5.30 pm
Included in the package: Meals: Dinner Lunch, Breakfast, Mineral water, fruits, and guide with good experience.
Not included: alcoholic beverages.
Recommended to bring: Bathing suit, long pants, long-sleeved shirt, flashlight, raincoat, sun protector, repellent, hat, shoes, and binoculars.
